Salary

• Starting salary for PSEC I is $49,254.40
• Starting salary for PSET I is $49,254.40

Hiring Bonuses

• A $5,000 hiring bonus is being offered for the Public Safety Emergency Telecommunicator (PSET) I position. 
  • The first installment of $2,500 will be awarded upon successful completion of call taker and Dispatch Support training or Police Radio training, whichever occurs first. This sign-on bonus will only be awarded if performance is rated acceptable by the department.
  • The second installment of $2,500 will be awarded upon mastering the all-training phases to include, call taker and Police, Fire, and EMS radios AND receiving a rating of “meets expectations” on the one-year probationary performance appraisal. This sign-on bonus will only be awarded if performance is rated acceptable by the department.
• A $2,500 hiring bonus is being offered for the Public Safety Emergency Call Taker (PSEC) I position.

Annual Increases

City Council determines employee raises each year during the budget process. The amount of the increase varies.
